I have Mathematica 8 myself so I don't know if this works in 7 but you could try setting WindowTitle to
"ShortFileName" in the options inspection menu (in 8 you do this via Format > Option Inspector..., select
Global Preferences from left-most pull-down menu and search for WindowTitle).
