That's just not true.  Whether the typical user knows it or not, the
terms of service have a major impact on usability, since it affects
developers.  An analagous situation exists with the Player/Player Pro
family.  Player is a bit too crippled to be of real general use and
Player Pro's license is too restrictive to allow easy deployment of
applications independent of Mathematica.  The license for the
forthcoming Wolfram|Alpha API will have a major impact on how
useful this new tool is.
