MathGroup:

After a few days of dealing with getting the new
Mathematica newsgroup on the net properly, it now
appears to be running. I have posted articles there
and they have shown up at various sites.

If you have newsgroups on your local machines, you might
check to make sure that

comp.soft-sys.math.mathematica

is added by your systems administrator as a MODERATED
newsgroup to your news servers. If your local news
server relies on some other server, your administrator
may have to have the other server add the group also.

You will also need to subscribe in the usual way if you
want to read the news.

Note that virtually all of what goes to the newsgroup will
go to the mailing list and the mailing posts will go to
the newsgroup.

If you want only to get the posts via the newsgroup, please
ask to be removed from the mailing list. This will speed up
the mailing process for others. BUT, check to make
sure you can read the newsgroup properly first. If you wish
to remain on the mailing list, you need to do nothing.

Thanks for your patience and support.

Steve Christensen
