However, I can tell you that there is no way to get a version 2.0 Notebook front End to render graphics generated by later versions of the kernel. There were substantial changes to the dialect of PostScript used by Mathematica, mostly to do with making the special commands used by Mathematica much shorter, and the earlier front end does not understand the newer version. The best solution would probably be to get a current version of the Notebook Front End for your NeXT.
