Have you tried rebuilding the help index? Look under the help menu. Under Linux there is a cache maintained, as well as an init.m file. Both are associated with the user. Sometimes they need to be deleted to get things to start over. If you don't have the hardcopy of the Mathematica book you can look for more info regarding your OS on the documents.wolfram.com site. -- The Mathematica Wiki: http://www.mathematica-users.org/ Math for Comp Sci http://www.ifi.unizh.ch/math/bmwcs/master.html Math for the WWW: http://www.w3.org/Math/
