Under Windows XP Professional SP2, I routinely run Mathematica 5.1 
concurrently with many other programs, including: NetObjects Fusion, 
WS_FTP Pro, WinEdt, Firefox, Thunderbird, Excel 2003.  It doesn't crash 
on me.
