Simplify[ArcTan[Tan[a] + Tan[b]]]

Can't Mathematica tell anything about ArcTan[Tan[a] + Tan[b]]? Maybe
there exists no useful identity for that? By useful I mean the
expression with functions of the "angles" a and b other than tangents.
