After reading adjacent cells with NotebookRead, one can modify the cells and then replace them using NotebookWrite. But when reading non- adjacent cells, the result is simply a list of the cells selected, and there doesn't seem to be any way to rewrite those cells without ruining the unselected cells in between. Does anyone know a way to get around this, or at least to detect the fact that the cells were non-adjacent? Thanks, Selwyn Hollis
